Job Summary

Serve as a senior technical leader for Dell’s AI infrastructure, specializing in Direct Liquid Cooling (DLC). You’ll lead customer and factory escalations, diagnose and optimize liquid cooling components (cold plates, manifolds, CDUs, pumps, leak detection), and drive reliability improvements through RCA/CAPA and telemetry analysis. Partner with product engineering and manufacturing teams to support NPI, pilot builds, manufacturing ramps, and deployment readiness for high-density data center environments.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead end-to-end resolution of AI platform escalations for mechanical/thermal issues involving DLC systems, serving as the primary customer-facing expert.
•Troubleshoot and optimize liquid cooling infrastructure across cold plates, manifolds, tubing, quick disconnects, CDUs, pumps, flow control, leak detection, and monitoring while validating thermal performance and cooling efficiency.
•Drive reliability and continuous improvement through deep RCA, CAPA implementation, fleet-wide telemetry and failure trend analysis, and design/quality/cost improvements from factory and field feedback.
•Support product development and manufacturing scale-up by partnering on NPI, pilot builds, high-volume manufacturing ramps, and deployment readiness in customer data center environments.
•Communicate technical findings, mitigation strategies, and recommendations to customers and executives; maintain engineering documentation and escalation records (including ECR/ECO).

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 174,000 - 225,000 annually

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related) with 15+ years of mechanical and thermal engineering experience, including deep expertise in Direct Liquid Cooling (DLC) and thermal system design.
•Strong understanding of AI/HPC platforms and GPU server, high-density compute environments, plus facility-level data center cooling integration.
•Proven track record in reliability engineering, failure analysis, root cause methodologies, and leading complex customer-facing escalations.
•Experience supporting factory operations, manufacturing processes, supplier quality management, and product deployment in fast-paced global environments.
•Proficiency with CAD tools (Creo, SolidWorks, NX), engineering documentation, and strong executive-level communication; willingness to travel for customer and factory support.
