Key Responsibilities

  • •Operate the vehicle according to applicable state and federal transportation laws, ensuring safe and timely transport over required routes.
  • •Transport loads, maneuver truck/trailer into loading and unloading areas, and follow loading crew signals.
  • •Load and unload goods and materials using specialized equipment when warranted; return equipment to designated areas.
  • •Maintain and deliver required paperwork including invoices and shipping bills of lading; deliver documentation upon route completion.
  • •Facilitate routine service on trucks (e.g., checking oil, water, gasoline, and air) and report maintenance malfunctions to the Shipping Supervisor.

Key Requirements

  • •Hold a commercial drivers license (Class A CDL) or a chauffeur’s license as required for the vehicle operated.
  • •Pass background and drug testing and complete a DOT physical; must be at least 21 years old to operate company vehicle.
  • •Operate vehicles following applicable state and federal transportation laws while maintaining safety and timely deliveries.
  • •Ability to remain focused in a busy environment and speak professionally and courteously with customers and staff at delivery points.
  • •Physical ability to lift and move up to 40 pounds and handle prolonged periods sitting in a trailer cab.
