Key Responsibilities

  • •Support project proposal development, including requirements, scope, resourcing, programme, and budget for delivery.
  • •Create and maintain project documentation such as project plans, cost forecasts, risk registers, and schedules, taking ownership on smaller projects.
  • •Monitor progress and drive delivery against agreed timelines to keep projects on track.
  • •Manage project costs day-to-day, including tracking time, budgets, forecasts, and spend.
  • •Ensure health and safety requirements are in place for site visits and support contract management and administration.

Key Requirements

  • •Experience working as an Assistant Project Manager or Project Manager within a project or PMO environment in environmental or sustainability sectors.
  • •Working knowledge of programme management principles, including work breakdown structures, dependencies, and critical path, interpreting MS Project or Primavera P6 outputs.
  • •Commercial awareness to manage budgets, track performance, support change control, and deliver projects within budget; familiarity with NEC3/4 is advantageous.
  • •Confident written and verbal communicator able to share key information clearly with project teams and stakeholders.
  • •Working towards or holding membership of a relevant professional body (e.g., PMI, APM, MIEnvSc, MIEMA, MRICS), with chartership progression welcomed.
