Job Summary

Deliver multi-disciplinary environmental projects within the PMO/Project Management community, partnering with Senior Project Managers and Technical Leads to keep work safe, on track, and within budget. Support proposal development, maintain project plans, cost forecasts, risk registers, and schedules, and monitor delivery against timelines. Manage day-to-day costs, support contract administration, and proactively manage change and risk while championing sustainability and net zero outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

•Support project proposal development, including requirements, scope, resourcing, programme, and budget for delivery.
•Create and maintain project documentation such as project plans, cost forecasts, risk registers, and schedules, taking ownership on smaller projects.
•Monitor progress and drive delivery against agreed timelines to keep projects on track.
•Manage project costs day-to-day, including tracking time, budgets, forecasts, and spend.
•Ensure health and safety requirements are in place for site visits and support contract management and administration.

Key Requirements

•Experience working as an Assistant Project Manager or Project Manager within a project or PMO environment in environmental or sustainability sectors.
•Working knowledge of programme management principles, including work breakdown structures, dependencies, and critical path, interpreting MS Project or Primavera P6 outputs.
•Commercial awareness to manage budgets, track performance, support change control, and deliver projects within budget; familiarity with NEC3/4 is advantageous.
•Confident written and verbal communicator able to share key information clearly with project teams and stakeholders.
•Working towards or holding membership of a relevant professional body (e.g., PMI, APM, MIEnvSc, MIEMA, MRICS), with chartership progression welcomed.
