Job Summary

Provide embedded Ethernet application support for AMD FPGA, SoC, and ACAP products, focusing on Ethernet subsystems, drivers, and IP. Triage and resolve complex customer HW/SW issues by debugging remotely, recreating problems locally, and using simulation. Collaborate with customers and cross-functional teams to recommend design techniques, create self-support assets (application notes, reference designs), and use customer case data to drive product improvements.

Key Responsibilities

•Provide direct technical support to customers on critical embedded software and hardware design issues focused on Ethernet subsystems.
•Collaborate with cross-functional team members to identify customer problems and propose solutions.
•Advise customers on design techniques and alternative solution implementations.
•Develop tactical projects to explain or demonstrate product features and generate self-support materials (application notes, reference designs, answer records).
•Analyze customer cases using data to influence product improvements; identify product gaps, create test cases, and work with engineering to resolve problems.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 116,200 - 199,200 annually

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in electrical or computer engineering or related equivalent.
•Ability to build custom PetaLinux/Yocto images and modify Device Trees using system-user.dtsi.
•Debug and patch Linux driver code for MPSoC US+ and Versal device families.
•Experience building, debugging, and deploying embedded Linux systems from source (including bootloaders).
•Experience with Ethernet PHY enabling and AMD Ethernet IP/Linux or bare-metal driver familiarity; familiarity with RGMII/SGMII and 1000BASE-X/1000BASE-T interfaces.
