Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform planned and breakdown maintenance on underground mining equipment, including diesel equipment, conveyors, pumps, and fixed plant.
  • •Assist with equipment rebuilds, overhauls, and component change-outs to support underground operations.
  • •Work alongside experienced tradespeople to develop fault-finding and diagnostic capability.
  • •Interpret SAP work orders, maintenance instructions, engineering drawings, and OEM manuals.
  • •Ensure all work is completed in line with site safety, statutory, and environmental requirements, and accurately complete maintenance documentation and inspection reports.

Key Requirements

  • •Certificate III in Engineering: Mechanical (or equivalent).
  • •Current Standard 11 (Surface & Underground).
  • •Proven experience in mechanical maintenance within an underground coal mining environment.
  • •Demonstrated ability to deliver best-practice mechanical maintenance.
  • •Strong commitment to safety and adherence to site standards.
