Key Responsibilities

  • •Ensure DCSA facilities maintain compliance with Safety and Occupational Health (SOH) standards, including annual RAC code-based safety assessments.
  • •Investigate, report, and mitigate mishaps and hazards; track hazard progress from identification to closure with timely follow-up.
  • •Implement proactive risk reduction programs, including ergonomic assessments and job hazard analyses for workplace risks.
  • •Produce accurate safety documentation and reports (facility safety assessments, mishap/hazard investigations, ergonomic assessments, and monthly status reports).
  • •Provide SOH training and regional SOH expertise via MS Teams; support safety oversight for facility renovations and MILCON projects.

Key Requirements

  • •7-10 years of direct, hands-on environmental, health, and safety experience with risk management and health/safety management certification.
  • •Active SECRET security clearance and US citizenship.
  • •Current and valid driver’s license and ability to travel about 75%.
  • •Bachelor’s degree in safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Engineering, or a related safety field.
  • •Desired: Certified Safety Professional (CSP) certification (or equivalent).
