Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead full life-cycle procurement for complex packages (material, components, services, tooling), including solicitation strategy, proposal evaluation, negotiation, award, and contract closeout.
  • •Conduct cost and price analyses, develop negotiation positions, and document rationale to meet compliance and audit requirements.
  • •Negotiate commercial contracts and terms with suppliers to achieve best overall value while mitigating risk (e.g., lead time, quality, warranty, intellectual property, indemnity).
  • •Manage suppliers for performance and risk mitigation, including performance reviews, corrective action plans, and escalation of unresolved issues.
  • •Mentor procurement staff (Levels 1–2/1–3), establish procurement standards and templates, and drive continuous improvement to reduce cycle time and improve data quality.

Key Requirements

  • •3+ years of procurement/purchasing experience supporting aerospace, defense, or highly regulated manufacturing programs (Level 3).
  • •Strong cost/price analysis and negotiation skills, with documented negotiation wins and cost avoidance/savings results.
  • •Proficiency with ERP/procurement systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP), plus procurement metrics and supplier scorecards.
  • •Proven ability to handle complex multi-stakeholder procurements independently and meet aggressive schedule and cost targets.
  • •Ability to ensure U.S. export control compliance by being a “U.S. Person” (as defined in 22 C.F.R. §120.62).
