Job Summary

Lead procurement operations for the India GCC, overseeing local purchasing, cross-functional collaboration with global procurement and AP, and building a scalable team within Columbia Sportswear’s India Global Capabilities Center. Drive process improvements, ensure P2P alignment with global standards, and mentor GCC staff including operations, analytics, contracting, and sourcing roles.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead and manage day-to-day procurement activities delivered through the India GCC, including local purchasing execution, requisition creation, transaction support, and adherence to defined procurement processes and service levels.
•Hire and lead a high-performing GCC procurement operations team. Establish clear roles, performance expectations, training plans, and development paths, and conduct ongoing performance management and coaching.
•Provide support for global procurement activities, acting as a key liaison between GCC and global procurement and AP teams. Ensure effective coordination, issue escalation, and continuous alignment with sourcing, SRM, contracts, and data analytics teams.
•Document, maintain, and continuously improve procurement operations processes within the GCC. Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, quality, and scalability of service delivery while maintaining alignment with global policies, systems, and controls.
•Provide support, consultation, and review for local sourcing activities not directly managed by the global procurement team. Advise stakeholders on sourcing best practices and ensure Legal engagement on contract review where required.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Information Systems, or related field preferred.
•9+ years of experience in procurement operations, supply chain, or strategic sourcing, with hands-on experience managing systems, processes, and stakeholder support.
•Experience performing and managing a broad array of procurement capabilities.
•Experience managing and coaching teams. Experience with supplier selection and negotiations.
•Strong understanding of procure-to-pay processes and procurement operations
