Key Responsibilities

  • •Collaborate with Engineering and Supplier Quality to identify and qualify potential suppliers.
  • •Create RFQs, analyze quotations, and develop sourcing and business recommendations balancing cost, quality, lead time, and technical needs.
  • •Negotiate contracts including parts pricing, tooling costs, and engineering services (NRE/EDT).
  • •Work with suppliers and Engineering to release parts into production and issue POs for prototype parts and prototype/production tooling.
  • •Manage supplier development and tooling timelines, resolve delays/problems, and provide internal reporting on sourcing status, parts availability, and costs.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance or related field (relevant experience may substitute).
  • •5 years’ experience in Purchasing, Supply Chain, or Engineering.
  • •Experience sourcing two or more BIW commodities such as paints, coatings, adhesives, baffles, castings, or extrusions.
  • •Understanding of quality principles, product development processes, and data analysis; ability to resolve problems with a solution-driven mindset.
  • •Proficiency with Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Word, and ERP systems (SAP or equivalent), plus strong analytical and negotiation skills.
