Job Summary

Support WHO’s assessment of a Severe Acute Respiratory Infections (SARI) early detection and intensified diagnosis pilot in Quang Ninh. You will review existing evidence and develop evaluation tools, conduct field assessments across provincial and sub-regional hospitals, evaluate effectiveness and sustainability, and synthesize findings into a comprehensive evaluation report with recommendations to enable scalable SARI diagnosis and management.

Key Responsibilities

•Develop an evaluation framework, methodology, and data collection tools (questionnaires, interview guides, and data abstraction forms).
•Review 2025 implementation reporting and project documents related to the SARI pilot model in Quang Ninh.
•Conduct field assessments covering one provincial hospital and selected sub-regional hospitals across the referral pathway.
•Evaluate effectiveness in improving early diagnosis and clinical management of SARI and assess integration and sustainability in routine clinical practice.
•Produce a comprehensive evaluation report summarizing impact, gaps, and recommendations for strengthening implementation and improving patient outcomes.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 170 daily

Key Requirements

•Advanced university degree in medicine, public health, infectious diseases, or another relevant field.
•Minimum 5 years of experience in infectious diseases or emergency medicine, focused on SARI case management.
•Demonstrated experience in surveillance or study design, implementation, and evaluation for communicable diseases.
•Fluency in English speaking and writing.
•Vietnamese native speaker.
