Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide field technical support to maintenance technicians for electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and complex electrical control strategies.
  • •Plan and execute large scale energy isolation procedures and coordinate electrical testing and inspection with contractors.
  • •Track “bad actors,” develop mitigation plans, and review area notifications for technical validation.
  • •Manage and review PMs for electrical systems (including procedure creation and verification of completed PM accuracy).
  • •Support investigations and critical-system interfaces for Unit Engineers, Operations, and HSE; assist with turnaround/capital projects through scope, design, and testing/execution phases.

Key Requirements

  • •7-10 years of Relay Protection Scheme / electrical testing / troubleshooting experience.
  • •Advanced knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and NFPA 70E electrical safety requirements.
  • •Fully understands operation and testing of high-voltage equipment and interpretation of test results (230KV to 125VDC).
  • •Ability to create, read, and interpret safety rules, operating/maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, manufacturer literature, and diagrams/schematics.
  • •Completion of relevant recognized program (e.g., NETA Electrical Level 2, NCCER, Associates Degree in Electrical) and a High School Diploma (or GED).
