Job Summary

Lead and deliver design packages for major road, greenway, and urban transport schemes from concept to construction. Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams across drainage, structures, and environmental disciplines, applying Irish transport standards such as DMURS, Cycle Design Manual, and TII Publications. Key Responsibilities

•Manage design packages for major road, greenway, and urban transport schemes from concept to construction.
•Oversee multidisciplinary teams of engineers and technicians to ensure collaboration across drainage, structures, and environmental disciplines.
•Apply the latest transport standards (including DMURS, Cycle Design Manual, and TII Publications) to deliver safe, people-focused solutions.
•Work with clients, local authorities, and stakeholders through technical challenges and statutory approval processes (Part 8 / ABP / SID / EIA).
•Support and coach junior engineers to build capability and continuous learning within the team.

Key Requirements

•Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
•Significant experience in road, urban, or Active Travel infrastructure design.
•Proven ability to coordinate multidisciplinary design teams and manage project delivery.
•Working knowledge of Irish transport standards including TII Publications, DMURS, DMRB, SRW/MCHW, and the Cycle Design Manual.
•Experience with statutory planning and design approvals in Ireland.
