Key Responsibilities

  • •Plan, organize, and coordinate operational cargo activities to achieve efficiency and productivity, including delegating and controlling subordinate staff and GHA/third-party contractors.
  • •Monitor and oversee services provided by GHA to ensure alignment with EK standards; address shortcomings and recommend and implement process improvements.
  • •Resolve operational problems including delays, disruptions, cargo mishandling, and transfer cargo.
  • •Review and compile cargo documentation for uplifted flights and ensure accurate completion of post-flight activities (dispatch of message, forwarding documentation, station file).
  • •Investigate and respond to customer queries, complaints, and claims, updating and maintaining cargo systems to produce and analyze periodic reports and statistics.

Key Requirements

  • •Educated to A-Level (or equivalent) with at least 5 years’ cargo operations experience, including 3 years as a Senior Cargo Agent with team-leading experience; OR educated to Degree (or equivalent) with at least 2 years’ cargo operations experience, including 1 year as a Senior Cargo Agent plus supervisory training.
  • •Knowledge of Dangerous Goods regulations and currently holds / has previously held a DG certificate.
  • •Knowledge of Advanced Load Control, Weight & Balance procedures and Live Animal Regulations.
  • •PC-based skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and E-mail.
  • •Fluency in English and the language of the country you are working is essential.
