Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide leadership for daily operation of the facility to keep environment and plant personnel safe under general direction of the Plant Manager.
  • •Maintain and enforce site safety and environmental requirements, identify hazards, and ensure corrective actions and procedures are implemented.
  • •Develop and manage plant operating philosophies and best practices to maximize availability, efficiency, and productivity.
  • •Manage O&M Technicians and Skilled Trades, including schedules to minimize overtime and ensure safe, efficient maintenance and operations.
  • •Assist with planned outage project management, maintenance engineering evaluations/troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of operational metrics and budgets.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or GED.
  • •At least 8 years of supervisory or managerial experience in a cogeneration power plant with a represented (union) workforce.
  • •Thorough understanding of plant operations and maintenance, including generating equipment, boilers, and water treatment processes.
  • •Ability to analyze and improve operations business processes and manage preventative/predictive maintenance and corrective maintenance.
  • •Strong oral and written communication skills and ability to work shifts and extra/irregular hours, including unusual/special conditions.
