Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead and deliver EC&I design and engineering within the department, ensuring high standards and compliance with nuclear regulations.
  • •Produce, review, and approve design documentation, including schematics, wiring diagrams, instrument datasheets, and system specifications.
  • •Provide design substantiation and support for safety cases, design reviews, and regulatory submissions.
  • •Check and approve work from other engineers and designers, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and compliance with standards.
  • •Mentor and develop junior team members, fostering technical growth and capability within the EC&I team.

Key Requirements

  • •Minimum of an engineering qualification (HNC level) and a relevant engineering degree is preferred
  • •Chartered Engineering status or progression toward chartership
  • •Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and delivering projects on time and within budget
  • •Knowledge of Health and Safety in Design and UK regulatory requirements for nuclear projects
  • •Experience with electrical building services, control and instrumentation design, and design substantiation
