Job Summary

Provide technical assistance to cement production and maintenance teams, supporting activities such as comminution equipment, process performance (heat transfer, material/mass balances), and kiln performance/quality issues. Monitor performance and drive continuous process improvement while addressing relevant health and safety concerns. You’ll also support projects, process improvement assignments, commissioning and startups, contractor direction, problem resolution, and maintaining documented manuals/processes in the production process.

Key Responsibilities

•Provide technical assistance primarily for production, and also for maintenance departments.
•Support crushing and grinding (comminution) equipment and process performance, including heat transfer, material/mass balances, and process design.
•Address kiln performance and quality control issues.
•Monitor performance and drive continuous process improvement with relevant health and safety considerations.
•Assist with projects/process improvement, direct contractors, support kiln overhauls/startups/commissioning, resolve manufacturing problems, and help maintain documented manuals/processes.

Key Requirements

•3-4 years of relevant industry experience and a degree or similar qualification in a Chemical Engineering-related discipline.
•Excellent communication and relationship building skills.
•Proven technical skills and business acumen.
•Project management experience and skills.
•Ability to interact with various departments across all stages of the production process.
