Key Responsibilities

  • •Conduct thorough vehicle inspections at an expert level and document overall vehicle condition within Manheim inspection parameters.
  • •Safely locate, start, move, inspect, and return vehicles on dealer/client lots.
  • •Verify vehicle identification and enter accurate vehicle information (VIN, mileage, sub series) into the inspection system.
  • •Inspect and record vehicle exterior and interior condition, including damage, missing or inoperable items, and perform basic mechanical checks.
  • •Assist junior inspectors, prepare daily activity reports, adapt to changing appointments, and engage proactively with clients/partners to maximize inspection volume.
Travel: Extensive travel

Key Requirements

  • •Must have Motor Vehicle Physical Damage Appraiser License issued by the State of Connecticut.
  • •High School Diploma/GED plus 7 years’ experience in a related field.
  • •Previous vehicle inspection experience and automotive knowledge (body and mechanical).
  • •Valid driver’s license and safe driving record; must have reliable transportation.
  • •Good communication and interpersonal skills, strong technical aptitude, and ability to work independently with remote supervision.
