Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide technical support and assistance to the ethanol facility to achieve equipment reliability and performance while meeting company safety, environment, and economic guidelines.
  • •Assist with activities such as mechanical equipment design, inspection data analysis, fitness-for-service evaluations, repair plan development, materials selection, root cause failure analysis, and troubleshooting.
  • •Work with Process Engineers to design and install new projects and other plant improvements.
  • •Recognize, report, and/or suggest recommendations regarding safety, health, and environmental issues that impact operations and personnel.
  • •Contribute to limited-scope projects such as equipment design, specifications preparation, equipment integrity evaluations, research investigations, and report preparation.

Key Requirements

  • •Currently enrolled as a Junior or Senior in a Mechanical, Agriculture, Electrical, Chemical, or Bio-Chemical engineering program at an ABET-accredited four-year college/university.
  • •Provide technical support to help improve equipment reliability and performance while meeting safety, environmental, and economic guidelines.
  • •May participate in mechanical equipment design, inspection data analysis, fitness-for-service evaluations, and root-cause failure analysis.
  • •Must be able to work 40 hours per week onsite in Rochelle, IL with reliable transportation.
  • •Ability to wear personal protective equipment, including respirators.
