Key Responsibilities

  • •Evaluate corporate M&A and asset acquisition/divestiture opportunities using integrated geoscience, technical, and commercial assessments to support strategic investment decisions.
  • •Coordinate, execute, and document geological modeling projects, keeping models updated with the latest data to maintain accuracy over time.
  • •Review regional maps and depositional models, verify visualization/analysis, and apply stratigraphic correlation and structural techniques to assess target formations.
  • •Use diagnostic techniques (well logs, core analysis, seismic, volumetric mapping, and others) to identify missed opportunities and assess reservoir upside value.
  • •Evaluate geological risk for potential deals, managing subsurface uncertainties and delivering technically robust, commercially sound recommendations to senior leadership.

Key Requirements

  • •8+ years of relevant experience, preferably in Business Development or A&D/M&A-related geosciences, oil and gas exploration, development, and/or operations geology.
  • •Bachelor's degree in Geology/Geosciences/Environmental Science/Hydrogeology or a related discipline, and/or commensurate work experience.
  • •Strong capability in geological modeling, basin modeling, and sequence stratigraphy to support subsurface understanding.
  • •Proficiency in well log interpretation and correlation, with experience applying stratigraphic correlation and structural techniques.
  • •Professional geologist licensing and/or certifications such as Professional Geologist License, CPG, or CEEG are preferred.
