Key Responsibilities

  • •Convert spoken language from one language to another to facilitate effective communication between parties.
  • •Provide interpreting services for employment, training and orientation, meetings, human resources, health services, and other operational activities as assigned.
  • •Maintain strict confidentiality as required for the interpreter role.
  • •Work in all environments of the facility as needed.
  • •Use dictionaries and glossaries to communicate clear and concise messages while coordinating and supporting the team.

Key Requirements

  • •Pass a written and verbal assessment with a 75% score requirement.
  • •Fluency in Wolof and French (other than and including English) and ability to obtain Level 3 Language Certification as prescribed in Tyson Foods software.
  • •One year of interpreter experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • •Strong verbal communication skills in the dominant language and English, and agreement to sign a confidentiality agreement.
  • •Ability to work independently with little/no supervision and demonstrate organizational, decision-making, and follow-up skills.
