Job Summary

Lead and grow one or more agile engineering teams within Mastercard’s Network & Digital Payments organization, providing hands-on technical leadership across architecture, design reviews, and complex problem solving. Drive delivery of secure, scalable, high-performance distributed systems using Agile/Scrum, manage planning, risks, and quality, and improve engineering productivity via testing automation, CI/CD, and security practices. Partner with product stakeholders to deliver impactful payment experiences while mentoring teams and scaling through hiring and onboarding.

Key Responsibilities

•Provide hands-on technical leadership across architecture, design reviews, and complex problem solving.
•Lead development of large-scale, distributed, high-performance systems and drive engineering excellence (code quality, testing automation, CI/CD, security and operational practices).
•Lead, mentor, and grow one or more agile engineering teams, supporting performance management, career development, hiring, onboarding, and team scaling.
•Drive Agile delivery (Scrum/Kanban) with roadmap execution support, backlog health, planning, dependencies, risks and mitigations, and active participation in ceremonies.
•Track and improve delivery metrics (velocity, quality, reliability, customer impact) while collaborating with product managers, TPMs, and architects.

Key Requirements

•Experience managing 2–3 Scrum teams.
•Strong understanding of SDLC methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall).
•Proven track record delivering enterprise-grade, scalable systems; payments domain experience is preferred.
•Hands-on experience with Java and Spring/Java EE, RESTful APIs, and frontend frameworks (Angular/React).
•Strong cloud/DevOps experience with Kubernetes and Docker, plus CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (AWS, Azure, GCP, PCF).
