Job Summary

Design, deploy, and maintain VMware Tanzu-based container platforms for an insurance organization. Build secure, scalable Kubernetes environments using TKG, TMC, TAP, and Kubernetes add-ons, with governance and compliance aligned to regulatory needs. Automate provisioning and lifecycle workflows with Terraform, Helm, YAML, and GitOps (ArgoCD/Flux), integrate CI/CD pipelines, and implement monitoring, reliability practices, and backup/DR. Partner across Cloud, DevOps, Security, and App-Dev teams.

Key Responsibilities

•Design and maintain Tanzu-based Kubernetes container platforms, including TKG cluster deployment and configuration across on-prem and cloud environments.
•Manage Tanzu Mission Control for cluster lifecycle, policy enforcement, and governance, and implement Tanzu Application Platform for onboarding and CI/CD integration.
•Build and maintain cluster add-ons such as ingress, service mesh, logging, and monitoring components.
•Automate provisioning and lifecycle workflows using Terraform, Helm, YAML, and GitOps (ArgoCD/Flux), integrating CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Bamboo) as needed.
•Implement security, compliance, monitoring, reliability, and troubleshooting practices, including secrets management (e.g., Vault) and backup/DR for Kubernetes workloads.

Key Requirements

•Hands-on experience with VMware Tanzu: TKG, TMC, TAP, and vSphere with strong Kubernetes knowledge (networking, RBAC, storage, and workload management).
•Experience deploying and managing TKG clusters across on-prem and cloud environments (vSphere, AWS, Azure, or OCI) including Tanzu Mission Control governance.
•Automation and GitOps capability using Terraform, Helm, YAML, and tools like ArgoCD or Flux, plus CI/CD integration with Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Bamboo.
•Security and compliance implementation using TMC policies, OPA/Gatekeeper, Pod Security Standards, secrets management (e.g., Vault), and secure supply chain practices.
•Mandatory Tanzu engineer certifications: VMware Certified Professional – Application Modernization (VCP-AM) or VMware Certified Specialist – Tanzu Kubernetes Grid and Tanzu Mission Control, plus CKA.
