Key Responsibilities

  • •Independently set up and complete complex machining runs on multi-axis machines (3- and 5-axis CNC mills, multi-axis manual lathes, specialized grinders).
  • •Program and edit G-code and related files, including creating/reviewing/correcting DXF and NC files using tools such as Catia, EnRoute, and Gravostyle.
  • •Inspect finished components using precision measuring devices to meet close aerospace tolerances, and determine rework vs. scrap.
  • •Interpret engineering plans/blueprints and GD&T requirements, ensuring adherence to aerospace tolerances and quality standards.
  • •Collaborate with Engineering and Quality Assurance to resolve production discrepancies, manage work orders and time charging in SAP, and maintain machine calibration tracking and a 5S-compliant safe work area.

Key Requirements

  • •High School Diploma or equivalent and formal technical/professional/vocational training in machining (e.g., apprenticeship or metalworking institutional program).
  • •Minimum of five (5) years of documented experience as a CNC/Manual Machinist, preferably in aerospace/aviation/high-precision manufacturing.
  • •Proven experience machining hard/challenging aerospace alloys such as Titanium, pre-hardened steels, and aluminum alloys.
  • •Ability to interpret complex blueprints/engineering drawings and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • •Ability to write, read, and edit G-code and set up tooling/offsets and perform advanced inspection techniques, including independently evaluating rework vs. scrap.
