Key Responsibilities

  • •Maintain, troubleshoot, repair, install, and commission electrical equipment including PLCs, instrumentation, motor control centers, motors, switchgear, and VFDs
  • •Understand and apply Canadian Electrical Code requirements and inspect/test instruments and systems to diagnose faults
  • •Consult manufacturer manuals, circuit diagrams, and blueprints to determine tests and maintenance procedures
  • •Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and complete work orders, maintenance reports, calibration sheets, and time/material/drawing records
  • •Provide on-call support for emergency response and contribute technical input for operations, projects, and turnarounds

Key Requirements

  • •Certified Interprovincial Electrical Journeyperson or dual-ticketed as an Instrumentation and Control Technician
  • •5–10 years’ prior gas plant, refinery, pipeline, or oilfield experience
  • •PLC experience considered a strong asset
  • •Basic computer skills with knowledge of Maximo (preferred), MS Word/Excel, and Outlook
  • •Valid driver’s license with a clean abstract, cleared criminal history, and satisfactory reference checks
