Key Responsibilities

  • •Publish SAP Sailing Analytics as an open-source project on GitHub and support security improvements based on threat modeling before and after publishing.
  • •Focus on security primarily through Java development.
  • •Help build technology showcases and prototypes using SAP Sailing Analytics data, including AI sailing-related concepts.
  • •Contribute as a maintainer across the full stack: cloud infrastructure management, application logic, analytics use cases, UI/web clients, and companion apps (e.g., Sail Insight).
  • •Optionally support sailing events on-site by operating the software, managing race infrastructure, and interacting with users and on-site partners.

Key Requirements

  • •Be a student (f/m/d) at a university or a university of applied sciences in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • •Have solid foundational knowledge of computer science and software engineering methodology, plus solid experience with Java.
  • •Have first experience building web applications.
  • •Fluency in German or English.
  • •Show eagerness to learn, a hands-on reliable approach, and strong team working skills in an inclusive environment.
