Key Responsibilities

  • •Feed, water, vaccinate, and perform general animal husbandry tasks including basic veterinary procedures.
  • •Assist with moving animals, maintaining efficient animal flows, and supporting animal removal as directed.
  • •Sanitize and wash farm areas using high-pressure equipment, and maintain barn, office cleanliness, and laundry duties.
  • •Process piglets by injecting medications, castrating, docking tails, and ear notching; update production information and department records.
  • •Treat sick animals using pharmaceuticals as required and follow standard operating procedures, animal welfare, environmental, safety, and biosecurity policies.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 16.75 hourly

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • •Previous livestock handling helpful and ability to do hard physical labor.
  • •Strong teamwork mindset and ability to work well with others in a fast-paced environment.
  • •Ability to follow instructions, deal with standardized situations, and comply with daily facility shower requirement.
  • •Must be able to work an average 48-hour work week and be available for weekend, evening, holiday work and emergency on-call situations.
