Key Responsibilities

  • •Design mechanical systems including HVAC, plumbing, controls, and fire protection for new builds, expansions, and renovations.
  • •Perform detailed engineering calculations using load-calculation tools (e.g., Carrier HAP).
  • •Prepare and review mechanical drawings, specifications, and technical reports across all project stages (concept, schematic, design development, IFC).
  • •Conduct field investigations, site reviews, RFIs, and review submittals to ensure conformance with project documents.
  • •Coordinate design activities with architectural, structural, electrical, and specialty disciplines within an integrated Buildings + Places environment.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent) + 4 years of relevant experience
  • •Registration as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Manitoba or eligibility for reciprocity/registration
  • •Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD; mechanical design software
  • •Strong understanding of Canadian and Manitoba building/mechanical codes and standards (ASHRAE, NFPA)
