Key Responsibilities

  • •Identify emerging AI research and techniques to set the technical roadmap for Fivetran AI.
  • •Prototype new ideas quickly and evolve them into shipped production-grade features.
  • •Define cross-department technical direction and resolve architectural tradeoffs.
  • •Build and maintain back-end and front-end systems for the Fivetran AI product, including Agents Schema pipelines and the Context Catalog UI.
  • •Own production reliability through on-call rotation, incident response, and SRE work, and set QA/testing quality bars.

Key Requirements

  • •10+ years of programming experience across Python and/or Java, with the ability to move between back-end and front-end work.
  • •Comfortable reading AI/ML research and turning promising findings into prototypes and production systems that set direction for others.
  • •Experience with SQL and data warehouses (BigQuery, Snowflake, Databricks, or similar).
  • •Ability to work across the full stack (research, backend, frontend, SRE, and QA) as team needs demand.
  • •Track record of defining your own direction and executing with minimal oversight.
