Key Responsibilities

  • •Manage large strategic accounts to deliver a high-touch support experience.
  • •Analyze complex Apache Spark and data engineering issues using Spark UI, thread dumps, and driver/executor logs to resolve performance bottlenecks.
  • •Advise customers on data engineering best practices, including optimizing ETL/ELT pipelines and data modeling using the Databricks Lakehouse architecture.
  • •Project manage open support cases to expedite closure and coordinate customer correspondence with Engineering, Product, SMEs, and Accounts.
  • •Engage on business-impacting incidents and conduct regular case reviews to identify trends and proactive optimization opportunities.

Key Requirements

  • •3+ years of dedicated data engineering experience building, deploying, and maintaining large-scale data pipelines.
  • •3+ years designing, developing, testing, and sustaining Python/Java/Scala-based applications.
  • •Deep architectural knowledge of Apache Spark internals, including drivers, executors, memory management, DAGs, Catalyst Optimizer, and Tungsten execution engine.
  • •Proven troubleshooting of complex Spark/big data issues such as data skew, OOM errors, serialization issues, and slow broadcast joins.
  • •Experience project managing multiple tasks and workstreams to conclusion, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills in distributed big data environments.
