Key Responsibilities

  • •Own payload electrical architecture, designing power delivery, data, and control wiring from aircraft bus through payload interfaces via deployment mechanisms.
  • •Design firing circuits and payload control electronics, including arming/safing logic, continuity test interfaces, and ground-to-aircraft handoff protocols.
  • •Define and implement the SMS/VMS electrical interface for payload control, including command, status, and safety interlock signals.
  • •Design harness routing through articulated deployment mechanisms, including connector mate/de-mate logic and continuity assurance across positions.
  • •Design and support ground support equipment (GSE) and perform EMC analysis to identify HERO/HERP/HERF risks; support lab verification and on-aircraft integration plus ground firing verification.

Key Requirements

  • •3–6 years in aerospace or defense electrical engineering with payload or weapons electrical systems experience.
  • •Experience designing firing circuits including EED circuits, arming/safing logic, and safety analysis.
  • •Ability to design payload bus architecture for power, data, and control from aircraft bus to payload.
  • •Experience with aerospace harness design, including wiring through dynamic or articulated environments.
  • •Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
