Key Responsibilities

  • •Own target-state architecture for Smartsheet’s AI platform, defining standards across data, agents, knowledge graph, and context graph.
  • •Set architecture for the agent harness/sub-agent framework including orchestration, lifecycle, hand-off contracts, evals, and capability-tier classification.
  • •Design and own schema/ontology, ingestion and freshness pipelines, and retrieval/grounding patterns to keep agent responses reliable.
  • •Build and maintain a reference agent framework that teams fork or extend to avoid re-solving orchestration/tracing/deployment.
  • •Define deployment, security, and governance patterns and serve as the primary technical lead for strategic technology partners via prototypes and evaluated early-access programs.

Key Requirements

  • •Deep, hands-on experience architecting production agentic systems on Databricks Platform, AWS Bedrock/AgentCore, and MCPs.
  • •Experience with agent harness/orchestration design, tracing/observability (e.g., MLflow), evals, governance, Responsible AI, and cost/latency instrumentation at platform scale.
  • •Strong knowledge of knowledge/context graph systems, including ontology design, ingestion pipelines, and retrieval/grounding evaluation.
  • •Experience designing reusable, versioned software interfaces (skills/tools/libraries) with clear contracts and promotion criteria from prototype to production.
  • •Legally eligible to work in India on an ongoing basis.
