Job Summary

Create technical enablement content, demos, and partner-ready assets for Akamai’s API, AI, and agentic security portfolio. Serve as the technical voice for Security Product Marketing, developing implementation-level expertise and translating hands-on product knowledge into credible technical positioning, proof points, labs, workshops, and training. Build and operate proof-of-concept environments and simulations, validate technical claims, and collaborate across Product Marketing, Product Management, Engineering, and Solution Engineering to support technical buyers.

Key Responsibilities

•Deploy, configure, and operate Akamai security products in lab and production-like environments to understand and document capabilities, limitations, and integration/configuration patterns.
•Build and maintain proof-of-concept environments, reference architectures, API attack simulations, and agentic workflow scenarios to demonstrate real-world security challenges.
•Create reusable product demonstrations, hands-on labs, workshops, technical training, and proof-of-concept playbooks for customers, partners, and field teams.
•Partner with Product Marketing to translate product capabilities into technical positioning, solution briefs, launch and campaign content, and sales narratives for technical buyers.
•Develop and validate technical content and claims, including blogs, white papers, implementation guides, and integration/architecture documentation, and deliver buyer briefings and workshops.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 119,600 - 215,400 annually

Key Requirements

•8 years of relevant hands-on experience in a Technical Marketing Engineer, Solutions Engineer, Solutions Architect, Security Engineer, Systems Engineer, DevOps, Platform Engineer, or Technical Product Manager role, plus a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
•Hands-on experience or strong working knowledge of AI agents and large language model (LLM) application security, including agent discovery and agent-to-tool/agent-to-API interactions.
•Expertise in API Security, Web Application and API Protection (WAAP), the OWASP API Security Top 10, API gateways, runtime security, and traffic analysis.
•Ability to independently deploy, configure, operate, and troubleshoot security, cloud, or application infrastructure.
•Ability to effectively communicate complex technical information to security practitioners, architects, executives, analysts, and cross-functional teams.
