Job Summary

Lead high-visibility finance work by owning monthly, quarterly, and annual close while ensuring accurate books, journal/reconciliation quality, and compliance with US GAAP and company accounting policies. Serve as the primary liaison for internal and external auditors, manage audit timelines, and support remediation of findings. Provide technical accounting and SOX controls leadership, coach a team of finance professionals, and drive process improvement and automation to improve efficiency and scalability.

Key Responsibilities

•Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process to ensure accurate, complete, and on-schedule books.
•Review journal entries, account reconciliations, and balance sheet analyses; investigate and resolve discrepancies and variances.
•Serve as primary point of contact for internal and external auditors; coordinate audit requests and provide audit schedules, documentation, and explanations.
•Ensure US GAAP compliance and manage SOX controls by maintaining control documentation, process narratives, and risk-control matrices.
•Lead, coach, and develop a team of finance professionals, manage workload allocation, and drive process improvement and automation initiatives.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: MYR 135,800 - 194,000 annually

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional qualification such as CPA, ACCA, CA, or equivalent strongly preferred.
•Significant progressive experience in accounting, controllership, or financial close, including experience managing a team.
•Strong working knowledge of US GAAP and SOX/internal controls.
•Demonstrated experience managing internal and external audit relationships and deliverables.
•Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and strong Excel/financial systems skills.
