Job Summary

Lead and oversee highway, bridge and rail construction management activities for Connecticut projects. Manage the construction management team, ensure schedule, cost and quality controls, review submittals and shop drawings, coordinate with designers, and ensure safety and compliance while engaging with stakeholders and the public.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead the construction management team, supervise record keeping, correspondence and meetings; chair project meetings and distribute minutes.
•Monitor contractor performance, scheduling, effectiveness and quality control; enforce safety and quality standards.
•Issue non‑compliance notices and drive resolution.
•Review and approve daily inspection reports and payment quantities per project specs; manage change orders for overruns and changed conditions.
•Coordinate with designers on submittals, RFIs and shop drawings, and ensure coordination with adjacent projects and permit compliance.

Key Requirements

•15+ years of experience in highway, bridge, rail, or transportation construction management
•Bachelor's degree in Engineering (civil preferred)
•Connecticut Professional Engineer license or reciprocity (CCM may be accepted)
•Ability to supervise staff (inspection, safety, quality, project controls)
•Ability to manage contractors, schedules and budgets
