Key Responsibilities

  • •Serve as a trusted technical advisor for enterprise customers, responding to and resolving network security and performance inquiries and incidents with timely, high-quality assistance.
  • •Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve complex issues involving DDoS mitigation, firewall rules, SSL/TLS, network confirmation, and other security configurations.
  • •Create and maintain knowledge base articles, technical guides, and troubleshooting documentation for internal and customer use.
  • •Analyze traffic signatures and attributes (IP addresses, cookies, HTTP headers, JavaScript footprints) to identify legitimate vs. malicious traffic.
  • •Advise customers on filtering malicious traffic using Cloudflare tools (Magic Transit, Network Firewall, WAF, IP reputation lists, packet inspection, blocklisting/allowlisting, rate limiting) and partner with Engineering/Product to improve tools; use generative AI/automation to streamline log and root-cause analysis during security incidents.

Key Requirements

  • •Minimum 4 years experience as a Network Security Engineer/Technical Support Engineer/Sr. Support Engineer supporting networking or web security products.
  • •Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, including simplifying complex concepts for customers.
  • •Strong customer service orientation and communication skills.
  • •Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • •Strong network protocol knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S, BGP, anycast) plus tools like iptables and looking glass; experience with packet capture analysis, connectivity troubleshooting, and GRE tunnels.
