Job Summary

Support Applied Materials’ Italy teams by managing the Health, Safety & Environment (EHS) Protection Service for the Agrate manufacturing site, while also covering Catania and participating in global EHS initiatives. Drive implementation of EHS programs (e.g., Respiratory Protection, LOTO, Chemical Authorization, MoC, Fall Protection, Hazardous Materials, and JHA/Risk Assessment), ensure regulatory compliance, investigate incidents, and report safety performance using EH&S metrics.

Key Responsibilities

•Manage the HSE Safety Protection Service for the Agrate manufacturing site and support coverage for Catania.
•Implement and oversee EHS programs, including Respiratory Protection, LOTO, Chemical Authorization, Management of Change (MoC), Fall Protection, Hazardous Materials, and Job Hazard Analysis/Risk Assessment.
•Ensure proper investigation of environmental and safety incidents and manage corrective actions to closure.
•Review and report progress and safety performance for assigned site/functions using EH&S metrics; provide updates, escalation, and project status to Management.
•Stay current on EHS legislation and safety/environmental technology and incorporate applicable improvements into Applied Materials programs.

Travel: Low travel

Pay and Benefits

Salary: EUR 38,400 - 52,800 annually

Key Requirements

•Ensure compliance with applicable HSE codes, standards, and regulations, including governmental health and safety regulations.
•Investigate environmental and safety incidents and lead corrective actions to closure, with root cause analysis experience preferred.
•Act as a liaison with local, regional, or national regulatory authorities and serve as an advisor to Country Management on safety issues.
•Develop prevention and protection strategies and guide teams in preparing action plans to improve performance.
•Monitor evolving EHS legislation and take actions to maintain compliance.
