Key Responsibilities

  • •Drive technical direction for designing and implementing software that manages Kubernetes clusters at massive scale
  • •Create and present complex design documents and architectural strategy to senior technical and cross-functional audiences
  • •Design and implement distributed systems, control planes, and APIs operating at planet scale
  • •Evaluate and integrate open source technologies into the FKP software stack and set technical standards for integrations
  • •Identify architectural gaps, propose solutions, and mentor engineers implementing against your designs

Key Requirements

  • •8+ years of experience with distributed systems, APIs, Kubernetes, Docker, and container orchestration at scale
  • •5+ years of experience with AWS and/or GCP services
  • •Strong experience with Terraform and infrastructure-as-code practices
  • •Hands-on experience with CI/CD services such as Jenkins, Argo, and Spinnaker
  • •Demonstrated architecting and operating of systems at planet scale with ownership of major design decisions
