Safely perform construction and manual labor duties to support highway, utility, and grade crews or asphalt plant operations. Key Responsibilities

•Assist highway, utility, and grade crews or work at on-site plant locations performing manual construction tasks.
•Walk behind the paver machine to shovel and rake asphalt as it is applied, and level asphalt using a rake.
•Dig out manhole covers and water valve boxes buried by asphalt and prepare openings as needed.
•Clean asphalt off tools and equipment after each work day.
•May assist with operating equipment (paver, roller, backhoe, water truck) if trained and perform other labor tasks (e.g., cutting concrete/asphalt with a saw, sweeping).
