Key Responsibilities

  • •Define test plan/design, develop test cases, and create test scripts to validate Enterprise and Datacenter SSD firmware.
  • •Demonstrate expertise across firmware areas (Front End, Back end/Media management, FTL, Security) and apply NVMe/PCIe and NVMe Cloud SSD specification knowledge.
  • •Create grey and whitebox tests, partner with firmware development teams across the product lifecycle, and validate fixes.
  • •Review, track, and document test results and sightings; drive issues to closure by collaborating with other product development teams.
  • •Integrate tests into automated test environments and communicate status, issues, concerns, and strategies with appropriate indicators.

Key Requirements

  • •10+ years of experience in SSD firmware validation with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
  • •Strong knowledge of whitebox and grey box test methods for Enterprise/Datacenter SSD firmware.
  • •Ability to prepare test plans covering access patterns, NVMe protocols, firmware test hooks, and VS commands for areas such as Front End, Back End, FTL, and Security.
  • •Hands-on debugging of NVMe protocol issues using Lecroy/JDSU analyzers is highly desired.
  • •Proficiency in Linux debugging and coding in Python, along with strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
