Job Summary

Responsible for safety-focused work on construction and/or paving projects, moving between tasks where needed in public utilities service capacities. Ensures compliance with company safety policies and OSHA/MSHA regulations. Helps with formwork setup using construction tools, assists with pouring and finishing concrete for smooth surfaces, and performs frequent physical labor such as lifting, walking, kneeling, and handling materials and equipment. May travel and work evenings/weekends as needed.

Key Responsibilities

•Maintain a safe work environment by following all safety policies and procedures and using appropriate tools and equipment.
•Comply with all company policies and OSHA/MSHA regulations for safe working conditions.
•Assist carpenters with forming and placing formwork using tools such as concrete saws, circular saws, and drills.
•Help with pouring and finishing wet surfaces to level and produce a fine finish for concrete work.
•Perform regular daily physical tasks including stretching, bending, lifting, pushing/pulling, kneeling, walking, and hammering.

•Preferred (not required) high school diploma or GED, plus related construction experience is a plus.

•Availability to work in a team environment, help coworkers/supervisors with other tasks as needed, and follow daily expectations.
