Job Summary

Oversee and coordinate ground handling for cargo and charter flights at Hanoi. Manage load planning, weight and balance, and GDP/compliance, while supervising Ground Handling Agents to optimise loading and unloading. Ensure safety, security, and regulatory standards are met, maintaining strong communication with crews, maintenance, and airport authorities to support on-time departures.

Key Responsibilities

•Plan ahead of the flight to ensure all ground handling arrangements are in place and ensure all information related to the ground handling agent, airport and load specification is obtained.
•Supervise the Ground Handling Agent (GHA) to ensure that load optimization and loading efficiency is achieved taking into consideration requirements for all special cargo.
•Prepare the loading instruction report and issue to GHA in a timely manner so that the aircraft loading can commence; ensure the aircraft is unloaded in a safe and efficient manner.
•Accountable for the punctuality of all flights and to ensure that an acceptable level of on-time departures is achieved; liaise with crew/crew hotel in the event of delays.
•Maintain close contacts with Ground Handling Agents, Line Maintenance Engineers, and Local Airport Authorities to ensure high levels of customer service.

Key Requirements

•Experience in Cargo/Airline/Ground handling in all areas in a major international airport.
•Knowledge/skills: Load Planning, Loading Supervision, Dangerous Goods Acceptance, Aircraft Loading and Handling Training, Human Factors, Aviation Security, SMS, Airside Safety and Special Cargo Handling including IATA LAR/PER.
•Good Knowledge of Local and International Customs, Immigration and Security Regulations.
•Ability to demonstrable high level of knowledge and competence in Good Distribution Practice (GDP) acquired through experience and training.
•Proven ability to work independently with minimum amount of supervision and strong communication skills in both written and spoken skills.
