Key Responsibilities

  • •Accurately locate and mark company facilities, service lines, transmission & distribution systems, and other facilities.
  • •Read and interpret system maps to support accurate marking.
  • •Work with company crews and outside contractors for needed re-marking to prevent damage.
  • •Investigate natural gas facility damages to determine root causes.
  • •Maintain working relationships with excavators and municipalities, report suspected damages, and keep accurate records/reports to meet company and regulatory requirements.
Travel: Low travel

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or GED and at least two years of experience in natural gas, damage prevention activities, service, construction and maintenance, and/or pipeline operations.
  • •Ability to communicate, persuade, and/or influence internal and external customers, with strong interpersonal skills.
  • •Must obtain and maintain Operator Qualifications (OQs) and required classroom training or certifications within six months.
  • •Valid driver’s license in accordance with Company standards.
  • •Ability to use the Company internet/intranet, take/upload digital photos of marking activity, and use available systems for data entry and retrieval.
