Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop and execute site-specific air permitting strategies across SpaceX sites.
  • •Interpret and apply Clean Air Act and other federal and state air regulations across jurisdictions; provide timely guidance to engineering and leadership.
  • •Track, review, and interpret proposed and new air regulations (including NSPS, NESHAP, and SIPs) and communicate impacts.
  • •Conduct internal air compliance audits and support external regulatory inspections across multiple sites to ensure compliance.
  • •Coordinate contractors for permitting and environmental testing, and maintain required records; manage relationships with federal, state, and county regulators.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree.
  • •12+ years of experience overseeing EHS disciplines, including air permitting and compliance.
  • •Demonstrated expertise in federal air regulations, including the Clean Air Act, NSPS (including Subpart KKKKa), PSD, and Title V operating permits.
  • •Track record of successful permitting execution at complex sites and maintaining positive relationships with regulatory agencies (including TCEQ).
  • •Experience developing and implementing air compliance programs across multiple facilities or states.
