Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform in-house real estate evaluations in narrative form, estimating property market value using appropriate approaches.
  • •Perform appraisal reviews to verify methods, assumptions, and value conclusions are reasonable and support a credit decision.
  • •Ensure appraisal compliance with regulations, supervisory guidelines, and bank policy.
  • •Communicate appraisal deficiencies to appraisers and follow up for corrections as applicable.
  • •Maintain active use of the RIMS appraisal management system, including conducting exterior-only visual inspections and documenting with pictures; mail valuation reports per Regulation B.
Travel: Low travel

Key Requirements

  • •Knowledge of a specialized field with equivalent of four years of high school plus specialized training and the equivalent of two years of college, plus 2 years related experience and/or training.
  • •Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and policy/procedure manuals, and communicate effectively with managers and clients.
  • •Ability to calculate figures and amounts and apply math concepts (fractions, ratios, percentages, area, volume) to practical situations.
  • •Critical thinking skills to follow written/oral/diagrammed instructions and handle problems with several known variables.
  • •Experience with real estate values preferred (e.g., realtor training or appraisal training).
