Key Responsibilities

  • •Drive delivery of civil and bridge engineering projects, ensuring quality on time and within budget.
  • •Mentor and support junior team members to develop skills and capabilities.
  • •Lead bridge design, maintenance and assessment activities, including feasibility studies and option appraisals.
  • •Prepare documents, reports, and cost estimates; support fee estimation processes.
  • •Coordinate with CAD technicians and other engineers to ensure cohesive project execution.

Key Requirements

  • •Chartered Civil or Structural Engineer with practical knowledge of bridge design, maintenance and assessment gained from construction sites and design offices
  • •Experience in project management of bridge projects and in supervising junior team members
  • •Knowledge of design, maintenance, supervision of bridges and civil structures infrastructure, with an innovative design/management track record
  • •Familiarity with DMRB and MCDHW for structural schemes and Eurocodes and their application to bridge design
  • •Experience with steel, reinforced, and prestressed concrete bridges; capability with grillage, space frame, and finite element analysis software (e.g., LUSAS, Superstress, SAM)
