Key Responsibilities

  • •Identify, negotiate, and execute lease agreements for a scalable Hyderabad office.
  • •Coordinate with IT to procure hardware, high-speed networking, security systems, and office furniture for a day-one-ready setup.
  • •Manage HR and payroll compliance with Indian labor laws, including POSH act requirements and local leave policies.
  • •Recruit and onboard the core engineering team, partnering with global leadership from sourcing through onboarding.
  • •Provide high-level local management for engineering during the transition, serving as HQ’s primary point of contact with progress and budget updates.

Key Requirements

  • •10+ years in operations or engineering management, including 5+ years in a leadership role in India’s software/tech industry.
  • •Proven track record setting up a foreign entity’s first office in India from “zero to one”.
  • •Deep familiarity with Indian labor laws, MCA filing processes, and GST/taxation frameworks.
  • •Exceptional project management skills with the ability to work autonomously in a high-pressure startup environment.
  • •Fluent English (written and spoken) and a local regional language, with strong negotiation skills.
