Job Summary

Lead WSP’s water and wastewater market in New Mexico by supporting market expansion strategy and winning new utility and plant projects. Drive technical project leadership across planning, design, and implementation, including feasibility studies, process optimization, and regulatory compliance guidance. Build relationships with clients, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders, represent the firm at industry events, and manage/mentor a multidisciplinary engineering team while staying current on water resources engineering techniques.

Key Responsibilities

•Support the development and execution of market expansion strategies for water and wastewater treatment consulting services.
•Pursue and secure new business opportunities and projects across multiple states.
•Oversee the planning, design, and implementation of water/wastewater projects to meet quality, budget, and timeline targets.
•Provide expert consulting including feasibility studies, process optimization, and regulatory compliance advice.
•Build and manage a multidisciplinary team and mentor staff while representing the firm at conferences and networking events.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental, or Chemical Engineering focused on Water Resources (or closely related).
•12+ years of post-education experience in environmental consulting focused on water/wastewater treatment.
•Engineer license required (New Mexico preferred).
•Strong knowledge of water resources engineering and relevant environmental laws, regulations, compliance, and record-keeping.
•Experience conducting Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments in accordance with ASTM guidelines and industry standards.
