Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform a wide range of general labor duties on road construction projects on a heavy highway crew or production crew.
  • •Help with tasks such as shoveling, raking, moving materials, setting forms, stripping and cleaning concrete forms.
  • •Support concrete work including pouring concrete and using/operating related equipment as applicable.
  • •Perform traffic control as needed for road construction activities.
  • •Maintain good housekeeping and comply with safety regulations throughout the project.

Key Requirements

  • •Must be able to repetitively lift up to 30 pounds and perform physical activities required by the role (walk, stoop, squat, sit, kneel) and pass a required physical exam.
  • •Demonstrate knowledge of basic tools and their uses, and basic math/measurement skills (adding, subtracting, division, multiplication).
  • •Prior construction experience is preferred.
  • •Maintain reliable attendance, meet company standards, and maintain a positive attitude.
  • •Prior experience in heavy highway construction is preferred.
