Key Responsibilities

  • •Own end-to-end accounting for PP&E, intangibles, CIP, leasehold improvements, and tenant allowance amortization, including capitalization timing and reconciliation.
  • •Establish and manage accounting frameworks for internally developed software capitalization under ASC 350-40, including stage-by-stage development cost tracking and capitalization discipline.
  • •Run the global corporate lease accounting portfolio under ASC 842, including contract classification verification and monthly right-of-use asset/liability reconciliations.
  • •Design and execute scalable capital accounting processes, policies, and discovery procedures across IT, Engineering, Facilities, and Procurement.
  • •Own SOX controls and serve as primary technical interface for external auditors for fixed assets, lease accounting, capitalized software, CIP, and related workpapers.

Key Requirements

  • •6–8+ years of progressive corporate accounting experience with at least 4+ years dedicated to fixed assets, CAPEX, leasehold improvements, capitalized software, and ASC 842 lease accounting in a public or pre-IPO environment.
  • •Deep US GAAP expertise in ASC 360, ASC 350-40, and ASC 842, with strong understanding of cash flow impacts.
  • •Design, document, and execute SOX internal controls, including leading physical asset existence and completeness audits.
  • •Hands-on systems experience operating/implementing fixed asset and lease management modules in Tier-1 ERPs such as NetSuite, Oracle, or SAP.
  • •Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance and CPA required.
