Key Responsibilities

  • •Operate the vehicle according to applicable state and federal transportation laws and observe all safety regulations.
  • •Transport loads safely and on time along required routes while obeying all traffic laws.
  • •Maneuver truck and trailer into loading/unloading areas, follow loading crew signals, and load/unload goods using specialized equipment as needed.
  • •Maintain delivery paperwork (signed invoices, shipping bills of lading, and required documents) and deliver documentation when the route is complete.
  • •Perform routine truck service (checking oil, water, gasoline, and air) and report maintenance malfunctions; arrange trailers in shipping yards and complete other assigned duties.

Key Requirements

  • •Hold a commercial drivers license (Class A CDL) (or required chauffeur’s license depending on state) appropriate for the vehicle weight.
  • •Pass DOT physical (trucks driven are over 10k lbs).
  • •Pass background and drug testing per federal/state DOT regulations, including a 10 panel drug screen.
  • •Be at least 21 years old to operate the company vehicle.
  • •Lift and move up to 40 pounds and be able to remain seated for prolonged periods in a trailer cab.
